Landing & trading

The bigger vessels bring live lobster on land where there are two options: to bring it to their own processing plants or to be sold to processing plants of third parties or wholesalers. Some bigger companies even have an own landing place next to their processing plant. Smaller artisanal boats bring the lobster on land at coastal ports where the lobster (mostly live) is traded on the spot to processing plants, wholesalers and local restaurants.
